Build farms, chambers, workshops, silos, depots and defensive towers; manage storage and production queues; capture territory; and choose linked biological and steampunk research paths before committing resources.
The eight fixed-seed campaign missions vary the objective rather than repeating one elimination match. Hold territory, build a stockpile, survive and cull hostile wildlife, or destroy a developed rival across seven grounds. Each mission carries its own briefing, starting economy, available technology, map, biome and wildlife cadence, with progress stored locally.
The 3D roster covers gatherers, scouts, melee troops, chemical specialists, gunners, bombardiers, flame troops, commandos, medics and mortar teams, alongside harvesters, transports, tanks, artillery, APCs and air units. Cover, knockback, destructible props, lethal water, living resource fields, deformable terrain and persistent blast craters make positioning part of the fight.
Skirmish mode lets one player fight AI with selectable difficulty, battlefield size and ground. Nearby multiplayer is an encrypted one-on-one local-network match: both Macs build the same deterministic world, exchange versioned commands and wait on matching lock-step ticks instead of silently drifting out of sync.
Raze, territory-hold, stockpile and wildlife-cull objectives arrive with fixed seeds, distinct briefings, unlock states and local campaign progress.
Forage, passive production, storage ceilings, territory income, harvesters, build prerequisites and rally points create visible strategic choices rather than hidden timers.
Two linked research benches unlock advanced castes, vehicles and combat modifiers while surviving units gain visible veterancy ranks.
Seven biomes combine cover, wildlife, destructible props, lethal water, deformable ground and craters that remain after the blast.
One-on-one local-network play uses required session encryption and deterministic command frames; incompatible versions and lost peers are reported instead of leaving a frozen match.
Box selection, control groups, right-click commands, attack-move, hold, unload, camera keys, edge scroll, zoom and rotation are all mapped for Mac play.
Nearby multiplayer is for two compatible devices on the same local network; this release has no Internet matchmaking, hosted servers or ranked ladder. The game depicts stylised insect combat, dismemberment and gore. Physical-device multiplayer, VoiceOver, accessibility and performance can vary by Mac and network, so the automated release gates are not a promise about every hardware setup.
